Hunter M Hudson is a Film Composer from Maryland who strives to illuminate the imaginations of listeners through his music, while challenging the status quo of the musical world. As a young boy in Gaithersburg, Hunter spent much of his early youth obsessing over music and fantasy stories. He picked up a guitar at the age of 10 and quickly decided he was going to be a musician.

Hunter had a busy highschool career, briefly acting as the Gaithersburg choral president and as a frequent lead in the schools musical theater program. His burning fascination with music led him to enroll in music school at Shepherd University pursuing a dual degree in Vocal Performance and Music Composition until transferring to Towson University due to complications with the Covid-19 Pandemic.

At Towson, Hunter focused on improving his compositional abilities and picked up a second degree track to study Post-Production Sound. Through ambitious networking and scheduling, Hunter worked with numerous student directors in the TU film school and wrote film scores of various musical genres for 4 different student films in 2023 and 2024, two of which were officially greenlit and funded by the Towson EMF department and one of which went on to win numerous awards at local festivals.

Hunter continues to work and collaborate with many of the directors of previous short films and has begun work as a freelance private instructor for guitar and music composition. He is to receive a Bachelors of Science in Music Composition and a second Bachelors of Science in Electronic Media and Film: Audio/Radio from Towson University in May 2024.
